One Child Was Born With Medical Problems, Now A Second Has a Heart Condition

For one local Crown Heights family, life has revolved around caring for their son, who was born with a severe congenital illness. Keeping up with the medical bills and grueling treatment schedule was difficult enough, but now, a second child was just diagnosed with a rare heart condition at just 11 years old. Treatment will be lengthy, and will cost vast sums of money.

When the family says, “Mi yichye … umi yamus” this Rosh Hashanah, their tears will be genuine, and the answer is up to us.

“כָל הַמְקַיֵּם נֶפֶשׁ אַחַת מִיִּשְׂרָאֵל, מַעֲלֶה עָלָיו הַכָּתוּב כְּאִלּוּ קִיֵּם עוֹלָם מָלֵא” “Anyone who sustains one soul from the Jewish people, the verse ascribes him credit as if he sustained an entire world.” (Mishna, Sanhedrin 4:5)

As Rosh Hashanah approaches and the whole world prepares to be judged, you have the opportunity to save two worlds. Can you help cover the costs for treatment for these two precious Yiddishe neshamos?
