Can You Keep Them Warm This Winter?

The temperature is dropping. That means it’s time for coats, gloves, scarves, and boots.

But some families don’t have the winter clothing necessities for their children. You can help.

Veterans of New York winters know the dress code for winter. It’s warm sweaters and thick tights. Snow boots and gloves and scarves. Warm winter coats to keep the cold and wet rain and snow out.

For some families, it’s an exciting shopping experience to get all the winter gear. But for other families, it means squeezing into last year’s boots and making old coats workable for this winter.

When we offered financial assistance during the Tishrei months, we noticed requests for winter clothes. As everyone knows, even a basic winter coat isn’t cheap, and kids often grow faster than you think. With temperatures dropping below freezing at night, now is the time to help these families. Please participate in our Keep Them Warm This Winter campaign and help a child stay warm this winter.

Help a yeshiva bochur walk home from night seder with warm hands and feet. Give a mother peace of mind, knowing she is sending her kids on the school bus dressed appropriately for the day. Let a young father show up at a job interview with a coat that doesn’t have holes.

Please donate generously and ensure that everyone in our community can stay warm this winter. Any amount makes a tremendous difference to someone walking around in the cold without proper winter clothes.
